Everything Rock Interviews Bruce...

EverythingRock recently had the chance to have an email interview with
guitarist Bruce Dickinson from Little Angels.
EverythingRock: How did the band originally come together?
Bruce Dickinson: It was 1985 and we were at sixth form together. I’d
stopped any pretence at doing my A levels and was playing guitar all day. Toby
(Jepson, Vocals and Guitars) had cool long hair and had this band called Zeus
with Mark (Plunkett, Bass). We had a jam and it all started there. I remember we
asked Mark to play bass because his Dad had a garage we could rehearse in. My
brother Jim (Dickinson, Keyboard) joined a few months later. We were called Mr
Thrud and we worked hard, bought a transit van and gigged all over the place. We
borrowed some money and made a record which cost us a grand all in including
recording and printing up a thousand. This would be 1987 and we a signed to an
indeed label called Power Station. We spent all that summer playing at the
Marquee every week supporting people like Tesla, Guns N’ Roses etc. We had good
advice and mentoring from Kevin Nixon who was managing us by then and we always
knew how important the live show was. We were always one of those rock bands
that grew up together and it sort of added up to more than the sum of the parts.
We were so young – Jim was 16 or 17 when we signed a major label deal – but we
could all play.

Along with the Angels and headliner Slash, a host of melodic rock bands have been added to the bill.
Swedish rockers Europe will be performing directly before the Little Angels and they will be preceded by Terrorvision, The Quireboys and Red, White & Blues (featuring Myke Gray from Skin/Jagged Edge)!
Sounds like a good day out to us! See you there! :)
